Jacob Kaplan lives an ordinary life in Uruguay. Like many of his other Jewish friends, Jacob fled Europe for South America because of World War II. But now turning 76, he is grumpy and in need of adventure. An unexpected opportunity to achieve greatness comes in the form of a quiet, elderly German, who Mr Kaplan believes to be a runaway Nazi. The story of this film is based on the 10 missing pages from the case of Fanny Kaplan, who was accused of attempting to assassinate Vladimir Lenin in 1918. It focuses on her love affair with Lenin's brother, Dmitriy Ilyich Ulyanov. The plot follows Kaplan throughout her short, yet challenging life: from her early days in Odessa, participating in an anarchist bomb plot; through the years spent in Siberian labour camps; to the brief reunion with her ex-lover, the bandit-turned-Bolshevik Viktor Garskiy; and ultimately the arrest and execution in one of the courtyards of the Kremlin.

New Delhi, the winter of 1993. A deaf mute young man is arrested by "Bureau" and accused of being a spy. A sign language expert is brought in to act as an interpreter for the Government’s agent and the “spy”. The unravelling of the mystery is the journey that sucks the sign language expert into the dark vortex of rivalry between intelligence agencies, deceit, and corruption, where the horizon line between innocence and guilt gets hazy.
